This is a very original, well-optioned pickup in excellent condition in and out. From every angle, it shows it was pampered and meticulously maintained from day one. While standard cab long bed ½ ton pickups have always been popular, the production numbers of full-size pickups in that configuration began declining rapidly after the mid-'80's. Now with most production optioned as basic work trucks, a well-equipped XLT Lariat ½ ton long bed like this one has become extremely rare, especially in top condition like this example. To top it off, this truck has the most desirable engine option, which is the famous 5.8L High Output engine. That option gave it great power for towing, hauling, or just daily driving enjoyment.
Another great feature of this truck is that it's very original, with just a few upgrades such as the camper shell and the brand-new 17” wheels and tires. In addition, areas like the inside panels of the bed show like it was never used for hauling materials commonly loaded into pickup beds. Even the tailgate is very straight, aligns properly, and opens and closes solidly. In fact, the entire exterior presents like a much newer vehicle.
